General Spyder Mechanical Repair.  -   Many of you have heard the name Kenny Butler.   Well, he one of the certified Can-Am mechanic in our area.  While he no longer works for a dealership, he does do repair work from his home.   He can travel to your home but there is a travel charge.

I have used Kenny.  Several of our members have used Kenny.   I cannot say enough good things about his work.   Yes, he is a long way away, but I finally have a mechanic I can trust.   He rides a Spyder unlike the other so-called mechanics at the dealership.  He has the experience to know what you are talking about when you try to describe how the bike is reacting.   And because he rides a Spyder he knows what it will do when various parts wear out or fail.

Kenny's contact information:

2305  7th Street

St Cloud, Fla 34769

Phone 407 709 8508

I have been told that Jason from SPS moonlights on the weekends that he does not work.  He will work on your bike at his home.   He also lives in the Kissimmee/St Cloud area.  I do not have any contact info for him at this time, but5 I believe he lives close to Kenny.

**** So you decided to put on the Cooper tire.   The new tire is bigger.   Here is a website that explains the difference in sizes     https://www.discounttire.com/learn/tire-size-calculator?ef_id=Xn_szAAAALBm2VvC:20200402213142:s

The new Cooper tire is about 3/4 of an inch wider so better traction in wet conditions.   It will fit.   It is also about 1.2 inch taller than the old tire.   This means the tire is bigger around.   This will cause your speedometer to ride about 2 -3 mph faster.  In case you did not know it BRP knows the OEM tires are not reporting the correct speed.   They will show about 2-3 miles lower than the actual speed.   Those with a Garmin GPS know this by looking at their GPS.   This new tire helps bring it back into proper reading.  Recently one of our members had this tire put on by Dale from this page.   He was worried it would throw codes and that it would not fit.   So, we sent a message to Kenny to confirm the information.    Kenny says, "It won't throw any codes I test these things before I tell anyone to do it.  The BRP speedometer is 3 to 4 mph slower with the original tire.  This tire will correct the speedometer difference which is why it won't throw any codes.   I just installed one last weekend on an RTS.  It fits fine and has no problems.   I have ridden over 1100 miles just last may on that very tire no codes or issues."
